The Spicy King is a Chinese restaurant in Vista, Ca. I went with my family and everybody liked it. It seemed more authentic than I have had in the past at other Chinese restaurants. The Explosive Peppers with Chicken had a lot of chile peppers but it was not as spicy as you would think, but it got spicy with time. Its texture was like tiny popcorn chicken. We also ordered Walnut Shrimp, Noodles
with Veggies and a chicken dish with bok choy and bell peppers. They had some veggie options, too.

The Flying Pig
The Flying Pig is a gastropub in Oceanside. I went there with my Dad. They have a nice charcuterie plate, a sampling of cured meats, cheeses and pickled vegetables. Our plate had also honey and pickled squash. For the main course, I got a burger with mushrooms and onions. The garlic fries were delicious. The restaurant is very cool looking inside and there is neat art work. The menus are made out of old vinyl record sleeves that look cool. I would go back to this gastropub again.

The Curbside Café
Curbside Café is a casual dining experience open for breakfast and lunch. We go for breakfast and some times for breakfast I get tofu scramble and for lunch tuna salad sandwich is good. They have inside and out seating and they are dog friendly outside. And they have eggs, toast and everything you need to have a good breakfast. Note: they have delicious clam chowder and different soups every day.
Notes from Phineas:
The pancakes are delicious. I like the clam chowder for lunch. I also like the bacon and eggs for breakfast. The staff is really nice.

Claire's on Cedros
Claire's is a LEED Platinum certified building and green restaurant. That means that they use sustainable building practices, they recycle, and have no plastic containers.
I had pancakes. They were fluffy and very good. They had lemon on them -- I'm sure you can get lemon on the side. I want you to go to this restaurant. They serve breakfast and lunch.
Notes from Phineas: They have really good pancakes. They had cinnamon in them. I also liked the breakfast sausages. I liked the edible landscaping and the solar power.
